Steadfast Replaces Bridge Swept Away by Floodwaters

Originally constructed in 1918, the historic Carbella bridge that carried U.S. Route 89 over Yellowstone River was washed away when the river reached historic levels. The bridge was replaced with a Colonial Flat-style Steadfast Bridges® Vehicular Truss which was longer, wider and designed to withstand future flood events and heavier traffic loads while maintaining an aesthetic look similar to the original historic structure.

Infiltration is not a new concept, but its popularity as a first line of defense against harmful discharges to receiving waters, not to mention reducing excess runoff volume, is still expanding.
