The City of Garland improved Shiloh Road from IH-635 to Kingsley by widening the four-lane divided thoroughfare to six lanes which required five intersections, landscaping, pavement markings, and storm sewer pipe. Ultimately, ULTRA FLO was selected as the best pipe option for its light weight, the strength of its polymer-coating, and the cost savings over other storm drain pipes.

Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) is the material of choice for underground stormwater detention and infiltration projects. However, there are a few instances where alternate pipe materials, such as DuroMaxx Steel Reinforced Polyethylene (SRPE) may be a better solution. The two most common scenarios is on sites where watertight storage is needed and sites with corrosive soils.
