When a triple-cell reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culvert at the Solterra development required rehabilitation due to cracking and structural compromise from excessive cover and dead load, the most cost effective solution was an aluminized type 2 (ALT2) ULTRA FLO® reline solution.
During a new project at The Living Desert Zoo, a CON/SPAN® B-Series Bridge System was utilized to create a unique habitat for rhinos. The rhinos and other species living in the habitat cross over the structure while a viewing area for visitors is located inside the structure.

Why Removing Phosphorus from Stormwater is So Difficult
Phosphorus is the second-most-regulated pollutant in stormwater runoff after total suspended solids. However, engineers and regulators are still learning how to remove phosphorus from stormwater to promote healthy waterways and meet agency requirements. One reason phosphorus is difficult to remove from stormwater is that it can be found in different chemical forms: organic, inorganic, particulate-bound, dissolved, etc. This speciation of phosphorus makes it challenging to remove from urban runoff.
