BEBO and BridgeCor Installed at Private Recreational Area
The construction of Wasatch Peaks Ranch, a private community and club, required numerous bridges for roads, ski trails and golf cart crossings. A BEBO® Bridge Concrete Arch System was selected as the best option for the main road into the development for its visual appeal. BridgeCor® Structural Plate buried bridges were selected as cost effective solutions for many of the roadway crossings.
A redevelopment project at the school addressed required stormwater upgrades by installing a Modular Wetlands® Linear bioretention system for treatment, a corrugated metal pipe (CMP) detention system for storage and a StormFilter® catch basin for treatment in a small, separate drainage area.
During the addition of a second Aquatics Center at the Ferris Athletic Center, a Variable Height Slotted Drain™ System was installed to capture all of the stormwater runoff before being piped to two Vortechs® stormwater treatment units.
Corrugated Steel Pipe in Vertical Construction Applications
Long before the creation of the industrial bread slicer, Corrugated Steel Pipe was invented in the United States. Corrugated Steel Pipe was first used for hydraulic cross culverts in the 1800s. Since the first culvert application, Corrugated Steel Pipe has been used in many different construction applications.
Public parks benefit the community by providing places for recreation, gathering, education, and relaxation. Often, they provide benefits in the form of economic vitality and enhanced livability by driving tourism, improving our physical and mental health, and boosting neighborhood connectivity within the areas we live, work and play. Most everyone would agree that a public park's social, economic, physical and environmental health benefits are of great value to its community.
